Hanna Floss (Registration)
SRA Office Assistant
Hanna began working the SRA office in January 2011. With our club size growing Hanna has volunteered her time to help with registration and membership. Hanna served on the Board of Directors from  September 2007 – January 2011, and was elected Secretary in January of 2009. Hanna has a background in Culinary Arts. She attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY earning her Associates degree with a major in Baking and Pastry. After graduating she moved to Seattle and after a few years purchased a bakery in West Seattle. Five years of sole proprietorship were gratifying, however, Hanna was ready to have  a family and chose to sell the bakery to raise her two kids. She became actively involved in volunteering at their schools. She  joined the PTSA and was the Legislative Chair for several years. Hanna discovered her love of rowing in 2001 after she took a LTR class here at SRA. Her competitive side was sparked and she has had great success winning gold medals in many events including the World Masters Games in 2005 and US Masters Nationals in 2006 in the pair. Hanna was the chairperson for the Masters Committee for several years and is currently  actively involved in volunteering for the Junior program. Hanna’s daughter, Maggie is in her 3rd year of rowing, and just attended US Junior Nationals and US Club Nationals this past spring/summer. Hanna’s son, Ben, just finished the summer sessions and is beginning his first fall season as a Novice rower.   Updated January 2011
