Executive Director — Sammamish Rowing Association

The Sammamish Rowing Association is a non-profit organization based on Lake Sammamish, 20 miles east of Seattle.  Our mission is to spark and nurture a passion for the sport of rowing in people of all ages, and our goal is to be the first-choice club for rowers, families and coaches because of: 1) our love of rowing, 2) our values, and 3) our reputation for inclusiveness and excellence in everything we do.  Our club supports a broad spectrum of “customer” experiences, ranging from novice, recreational and adaptive rowing all the way through regional and national-level competitiveness.

We are seeking an Executive Director to lead and manage our organization.  The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is accountable for upholding the mission, running the day-to-day operations of the club, and ensuring operational decisions are made to enhance rower experience, staff development and to secure the long term future of the organization.  This job requires leadership, excellence in operational management and a safety-first and customer-centric approach.

In addition to a passion for rowing, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record for managing multiple priorities, for successful design, planning and execution of operational and business strategies and tactics at all levels, success in managing and leading people and organizations, be disciplined and assured in their approach and have good judgement in managing the demands of both the business and the sport.
