George Andreadis (george.andreadis)

Masters Coach

George Andreadis is a rower who fell in love with this sport in the fall of 2003, soon after his son joined the Los Gatos Rowing Club.   Rowing became a way of life for him, and his spouse Norma, taking over from tennis and skiing.   It is his nature to analyze highly technical sports and he finds the biomechanics, physics, and the dynamic character of rowing absolutely fascinating.  As a sweep rower and sculler, he had the privilege of some of the best training available.  His sweep coach was an Olympic silver medalist sculler, who was focused on technique and the application of power as it relates to technique.   As a sculler, he received training from former coaches at MIT, Princeton, Cornell, UCSD, attended some of the better known sculling clinics and became a ‘Poster Child’ for one of them.  Please, no autographs!  He finds it extremely rewarding to share his knowledge with rowers and non-rowers alike. The best compliment he would like to receive from his class is that they feel good about their rowing experience.  He’s thrilled to see them compete, and be happy about their performance, regardless of the outcome.   His goal is to help each individual achieve his/her objective, meet or exceed the overall team objective, and enjoy doing it!   Row strong, row as one, and see you on the water!   Updated March 2010

She cannot wait to share the excitement, mental challenges and awesome health benefits of rowing with all her students. She also enjoys the theater, cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with family. Updated July 2010
