SRA’s Old Boathouse

SRA’s old boathouse served us faithfully from the club’s founding in 1996 until the building’s demolition in 2015.  Click here to see video of the demolition.  SRA crammed shells, ergs, oars, and launches in its two dank, dark boat bays.  The building had minimal electricity and no running water.  It had ruts in the floors, holes in the walls, and tarps on the roof.  The old boathouse was torn down in 2015 once the new-boathouse gym was completed, but the concrete pad on which it sat still remains and today serves as the floor for SRA’s outdoor launch-storage corral.
