| Courtney Moeller (courtney.moeller) Head Coach: Junior Women Courtney is SRA’s Junior Women’s Head Coach and the SRA Office Manager! She is returning this fall for her 7th year with Sammamish. Courtney joined the crew team at Western Washington University her freshman year and continued with the sport throughout her four years of college. In the spring of 2005 she was a part of the 1st NCAA National Championship team in school history. After graduating with a degree in Sociology she moved back to the eastside and began to coach at SRA. She enjoys being out on the lake every day passing along the thrill and love for the sport. Courtney holds a level III US Rowing Coaching Certification and also serves on the Northwest Rowing Council board as Vice-President and Junior Chair. Besides spending time at the boathouse or out on the lake, Courtney enjoys living in the northwest and takes full advantage of our surroundings with friends and family. She loves hiking, camping, skiing, golfing and anything that can be done with good company! In the spring of 2010 she adopted a dog that many of you may recognize, Lexie, who is pretty much the best thing ever!! Updated August 2011 | |

Kelly Foster (kelly.foster) Head Coach: Junior Men Kelly started rowing her freshmen year of high school for the Everett Rowing Association. In 2003 she rowed for the Junior National Team, earning a silver medal in the Women’s 8+. She rowed for Stanford University her freshmen year of college and then transferred to the University of Washington. In 2008, her senior year, her team placed 2nd at the NCAA National Championships. Kelly started her coaching career as an assistant coach for the Lakeside Men’s team and coached the inaugural season of the Seattle Area Rowing Women’s team to a third place finish in the Junior 8+ at Club Nationals this summer. This will be her first season at Sammamish. When she isn’t coaching she is usually in the kitchen baking or hanging out with her friends and family! Updated November 2011 |

Micah Perrin (micah.perrin) Assistant Coach: Junior Men Micah was born in the Philippines and grew up all across the United States, in California, Ohio, New Orleans and LA, before finally landing in Seattle, WA. He attended the University of Washington and coxed four years on the prestigious team. He was a member of two Nationals Championship teams in 2007 and 2008, when the Huskies won the IRA. Micah is entering his 2nd year of coaching at Sammamish as the Assistant Men’s Coach and he helped lead our Junior B Boys (under 16) to a very successful showing at Club Nationals in Indiana this July. Besides coaching he LOVES to play tennis and is slowing working his way to the top in an ultimate Frisbee league. Updated August 2011 |

Simon Williams (simon.williams) Junior Novice Boys Coach This is Simon’s first year with SRA and it’s backed by a 30 years in the sport both nationally and internationally. He’s been Head Coach and coach of the Women’s Program at Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA; coach at the Potomac Boat Club for a 2x contending for the Pan Am Games; and is a substitute Coach at Green Lake in the Sculling Program. Simon’s rowing credentials run deep, competing at two Junior World Championships in the 2+ and 1x; medaling at US Club Nationals; finishing in the top ten at the Head of the Charles in 1x; winning the C1x at the Head of the Lake; and medaling at the Canadian and US Masters Championships in mixed 2x, 4+ and 8+. An architect by profession, Simon believes that both architecture and rowing involve team building, planning, execution, and strong focus on the end result. He combines art and science with attention to detail in both his residential designs and rowing. In addition to his wife and children, Simon’s passion is coaching and passing his love of the sport on to others. Simon’s philosophy is “Get ahead and stay ahead!” Updated January 2011 |
