Marc McGinnis (marc.mcginnis)
Junior Novice Boys Fitness and Conditioning Coach
Marc has been rowing since he got hooked on the sport during his last year in college.  Since then, he has rowed both sweep and sculling at three different clubs in the Northwest (have you ever heard of the powerhouse Renton Rowing?).  Since joining SRA in 1998, most of his rowing has been with the competitive Masters team, where he’s gained a lot of racing experience and has a shoebox full of ribbons and medals.  His biggest rowing accomplishment was being part of the men’s 4+ boat that took 3rd at the 2009 Head of the Charles.  After all the times that he’s enjoyed coxing and giving input to rowers, he decided to assist with coaching the novice boys.  When he’s not huffing and puffing on the erg, or working on his technique in the boat, Marc is a husband and father of two sons, an owner in a small geotechnical engineering firm, and a bass player in his church’s worship team.  Updated February 2010
